Standing about 10 inches tall, the futuristic friend is an interactive companion that uses technology to let owners know how hes feeling. The futuristic friend comes with a magnetic bone to “chew.” Four touch sensors let Mio Pup know when you are petting him (and, again, his eyes will tell you how much he likes it). Tickling him under his chin may cause him to strut, wag his tail, wiggle his ears, or even play music. When Mio Pups eyes tell you that hes hungry, you can “feed” him the included magnetic bone until his eye-con lets you know hes had his fill. Similar to a real pet, the more attention you give Mio Pup, the more hell appreciate you. Stroke his head, chin, or back and hell walk toward you for more petting. A built-in microphone lets the purple pooch know when you are talking and he will reply with his own babbling or by playing musical tunes. The Mio Pup requires four AA batteries, which are included.

neat…must have a big Imagination to get into
My 6 year old loves this puppy–we are unable to have a pet in our apt. so this was the closest we could have to the real thing. It’s not near the level of interaction of having a real dog but my daughter’s imagination more than makes up for that; She likes the idea of emotions and lights the pups displays and really doesn’t care that it doesn’t do “traditional dog-like actions”. It all depends on what your child’s expectations are for this toy that will determine the enjoyment value. For those who need a replacement bone or battery cover you can go to www.TIGERELECTRONICS.COM and type in “mio pup” in the search window and it will bring up a page with the order form…. the cost was reasonable also. I hope this info. was helpful.

Great Companion toy
I purchased this for my 8 yr old Niece for Christmas. She adored it and it hardly left her side for days. It’s very interactive and shows a myriad of ‘emotions’as you interact with it. Seems very durable and solid (not a cheap plastic feel like you get with some toys)at the low price ($30) I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of this toy.

Not all is cracked up to be
Santa brought this because our little one got “hooked” by the commercials. She was EXCITED to open it, but has shown much interest since. Glad Santa got it on sale. I know I wouldn’t ever buy it again, nor would our children ask for it again. It really is a boring toy.
