Assassin training complete5
All I can say it “WOW”! If you want a game that has a great plot and lots of twists this is the one you should buy. This game brings something a little different to the gaming world. Most of the games that come out today are the same ol’ FPS killing aliens blah blah blah. The storyline in this game is outstanding as you are a modern day Joe Smoe with assassins in your bloodline. Through the use of a machine called the Animus, you live as your ancestor and are being manipulated to assassinate targets hundreds of years in the past. All of these assassinations tie into future events. I don’t want to give too much of the story away so you will just have to play it to see what I’m talking about. It is basically an open world with lots of tasks and missions that you must complete to unlock your memories of other events. Playing the game reminded me of Grand Thieft Auto at times with the openess of the towns where you are to do your tasks. The AI in this game is well above average and react quickly to the things that you do if you don’t hide or become “invisible”. The controls are easy to use, even when you learn more specialized moves later in the game and the graphics are outstanding. All of the cut-scenes are meaningful, timely, and are well done. The gameplay is not extremely difficult (at least it wasn’t for me). At times I felt like I was really challenged in combat but then again that is not the point of the game now is it. The pucker factor comes when you have to make assassinations in the middle of a crowd or try to pick pocket someone. One false move and you will be in a fight. It took me about 20 hours to complete the game. I only did the missions that I was tasked to do and all of the sub-tasks in each of the cities. I did not complete the flag tasks, ect. All in all this is a must buy and not a rental.

Beautiful, but overhyped and boring2
Anyone in their right mind can see the Assassins Creed, is one of the most graphically flawless, XBOX360 titles to date. Complete with a beautiful sound score as well, but ultimately very overhyped and boring.
Climbing, jumping, sneaking and stabbing. It just gets SO dam repetitive and painfully boring after awhile. Xplay, actually said this first publicly, before anyone did and they were right.
Personally I have officially lost interest as of last night. I could no longer bear the idea of having to revisit the same cities at the same snails pace.
Each mission sends you back to areas already combed and with little to no change in gameplay. I had two more missions to go before some mysterious secret was to be revealed.
sadly, I just put down my controller and said “I don’t care anymore”. This sucks now. Many people love this game, however if you read their reviews most are based simply on appearance alone. I was hesitant to play The “Orange Box” title when it came out because I hate overhyped crap.
I was never so wrong with a game as with that one.
What a masterpeice! Feeling like I learned my lesson, I figured I could very well be wrong in assuming Assassins Creed, would be the same lesson taught. Nope. So far, if Xplay says it’s one way or the other, I’ll be inclined to pay more attention in the future.

Great Game … Terrible Ending2
(SPOILER ALERT) My review is based upon what happens at the end of the game.

I really liked playing Assassin’s Creed. The action was great. I loved the fact that it required me to do things like climb towers to open up more of my option in a town.

That being said, the end was so bad that it completely overshadowed the rest of the game. I’m trapped in the lab and the Templars got everything they needed from me? That just plain sucks. It made me feel like I lost. I actually looked up a walk-through because I thought I screwed up and missed something. Nope that’s the way the game ends. I was hoping that I’d get to use all those assassin skills to escape from the lab, rescue my family, and defeat the Templars. Oh well.
